I bought the 7.5 powerpact it does everything I need so we don't have to leave our house we got heat water frig lights tv all I need for the night sometimes multiple nights here with all the power lines running through the woods I love the thing definitely a good investment

7.5KW I did some of the install myself. i poured the mounting slab with six bags of cement. What was difficult was getting the anchor bolts to line up. bigger holes with larger washers would help. I had an electrician and HVLP contractor complete the natural gas and electrical panel. I am pretty skilled at most home projects, but this was "above my pay grade", between the natural gas codes and main circuit breaker box I recommend trained professionals. The generator works great!! and i am pleased with my purchase. my only suggestion would be to allow for a variable exercise mode, rather than the fixed 7day mode.

7.5 KW INSTALL

I am on 24 hour oxygen. I use an electric concentrator. Without it, I'm in trouble. I bought the little 7,5. Kwh. And it's perfect. Does most of a 2400 Sq Ft. home too. Not heat. 

We live in an area that has many outages. it provides great peace of mind. 
Before the Generac, every time the lights flickered, it scared us. Not now. Our generator will come on automatically if needed.

Great value

This 7500 kvw generator was highly recommended by my electrician who has the same one at his house and did a show and tell for me. I liked all the features,it ran quietly and is priced right for me. The proof will be in the future as it was just installed and has not yet performed for an outage. I live in upstate NY and we have severe winters. I'm anxious to see how well it works in our environment. We lose power frequently.

Great features

We recently completed three vacation rentals on St Croix in the USVI. We are completely off-grid with a 7 kW solar array and Schneider MPPT's inverter and Automatic Generator Switch (AGS) This has been a DIY construction project including all of the setup and configuration of the solar system. We support three mini-split AC units, one for each building, as well as standard electrical demand.

We purchased the 7.5 kW PowerPact from Generac to support our property when the load out paces our battery storage. As a DIY project, we were able to convert it to propane, set up tanks and gas lines and connect it to our inverter in less than a day. We also set up two wire auto start with our AGS from Schneider. The unit has functioned flawlessly from the very first moment we installed it. 

Our Generac 7.5 Powerpact generator has been a great addition to give us peace of mind that our off-grid setup will never be without ample power!

Great support for our off-grid vacation property

I bought the 7.5 power pack up graded from a 5500 portable gen, This awesome little 7.5 unit powers my whole house TV, lights, ceiling fans, fridge and a portable A/C unit during the summer if needed at 25amps of course i don't run everything at one time. its already paying for itself lost power do to strong winds it ran 5 hrs. and i didn't have to get out of my seat. I use 2 100lb propane tanks

A big bang for my buck

While the Generac hasn't been used as yet we are very happy with the staff that installed it. Came on time when they said they would, worked neatly and efficiently. Even turned my sprinkler back on when I had forgotten to turn it off for them. Great crew. Hurricane on the way probably so may get a real test.

excellent installation

This is a great little generator for essential backup. I have my sump, ejector, furnace, fridge, etc. hooked up to this and works great. Also the included transfer switch is nice so you do not have to install an additional breaker panel like other units. Install was relativity straight forward with the exception on some missing terminal labels in the transfer switch (had to dig pretty deep into drawings to be able to identify) and for some reason the generator has a 3/4" gas inlet but ships with a 1/2" flex hose (seems odd) and there is no explanation for the size or where to reduce the connection.

Bottom line...its a bare bones system that is simple to operate and does what I need for basic backup.

Perfect for essential backup

Very disappointed with this generator and generac and bulldog generators. Supposed to have a two wire start and doesn't Apparently takes two months to get a two wire start kit for it. Completely useless for what I need. D no help from dealer or Generac

Big nistake

I like the Product.
The over all process of getting the unit up and running after installation "HORRIBE!!!!"
I will buy portable units from now on!!!
I would rather pull the units out and plug them in every time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
