Switched to this grill from propane as the propane just never gave the flavor. The wife doesnt like heavy smoke flavors but like the taste from the 780 and fruit woods. Also did my first ever brisket on this grill at 225 and 16 hours later it was perfect.  Really cant speak high enough about this grill.

This is my first Traeger and it is really nice. We're having trying new recipes and enjoying the smoky flavor of pellet grilling. Loving the convenience of set it and forget it and the digital probe with WiFi. The best thing we've cooked so far is tri tip. It was so juicy and tasty. Overall purchase was totally worth it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm new to pellet grills and did a lot of research before buying the Pro 780. Seemed every review I read on pellet grills, the manufacturer always compared their latest & greatest to a Traeger. So I finally came to the realization, why not just buy a Traeger. 

I chose the Pro-780 and have not been disappointed. It's easy to operate, loaded with features and the perfect size cooking surface. Which the Wi-Fi feature combined with Wi-Fire app is icing on the cake. I'd highly recommend this product.

Fun for the whole family

This grill along with the wifire app makes it almost too easy to grill perfect meat. In the first two weeks I did multiple 20+ pound briskets and they turned out perfect every time. The app makes it so easy to monitor and adjust temperature; almost too easy!

So easy it should be illegal

I have never had a smoker and am a complete novice. I bought a brisket and 2 racks of baby back ribs for an Easter lunch. I started the brisket Saturday at 2pm and followed a Traeger recipe. It was done about 7:30am and put it to rest in an airtight cooler. Then cooked the ribs. I had eight people over and everyone loved the meat . One guest who also has a Traeger complemented me on the smoke ring. Everything was delicious. This smoker makes everyone look good.

Set it and forget it.

Best purchase of 2019. Surpasses anything I've been told. The Pro780 heats up super quick. I've never been so excited to cook.  I look for things to make. Only been a couple weeks and I prepared everything from hamburgers, hotdogs, steak, Brussel sprouts, meatloaf, snapper, and smoked salmon a couple different ways.  The recipes on the app have been very helpful. Only regret is I waited so long to pull the trigger on a Traeger.

There are good things and bad things about this grill.  To begin, it is incredibly easy to get started, it's very intuitive (love the wifi) and it is very pleasing to the eye.  An honorable mention is what looks like bullet proof customer service and product support plan.  The bad is the dust created by the the incenerated pellets.  Because there is a fan that circulates the heat, it also circulates a bit of the dust.  It is also recommended to purchase a shop vac to vacuum the dust.  Also, the chimney end of the grill seems to have a hot spot, as well as the edges of the grease ramp.  I noticed my left rack of ribs (chimney side) was cooking quicker than the others.  It could have been the rack of ribs but my gut tells me it's hotter on that end.  The smoke is a bit mild but I can live with that with the ease of use.  Overall, I like the grill, however I find myself charing steaks on my green egg and finishing them on the Traeger.
