I love the National Geographic science kits. This Earth Science kit did not disappoint! It was packed full of fun experiments. The crystals worked great! After 24 hours it had started to grow out of the cup. My boys loved the rock collection and digging out the gold brick (that was messy but they loved it). I loved the step by step instructions you don't have to guess how to do anything. This is a great kit!

So much fun!

This is a good variety science experiment kit for kids.  My 10 year old daughter loves special rocks and minerals and did the rock dig on her own.  It is a unique collection and had some stones she was very interested in reading about in the included book.  There is also a crystal growing kit, which is relatively simple.  The crystal experiment includes a cup, seed rock, stir stick, and powder.  All you have to do is boil water and mix in the cup with the powder and place somewhere warm, and undisturbed for several days.  Ours turned out nicely.  She has yet to do the volcano, I was impressed with the steps on that since we had previously did baking soda/vinegar experiments, but the kit actually includes plaster and a volcano mold and paint.  There is also a little tornado tube you can screw onto two 1 or 2 liter soda bottles and I'm sure she will enjoy that as well.  It is a handful of experiments with a couple kids could do on there own and a couple that adults should help with.  It is a good summer activity that helps keep leaning engaging.

Great summer learning activity

My 8 year old son loves these science kits. They are easy for him to understand and complete on his own.  They are safe while still being exciting. They are also very educational! He loves it so much.

Cool display of earth's cooler features. My son really enjoyed making the crystals and it definitely kept him busy. All the ingredients are useful and the instructions are helpful. Great way to pass the summer months.

The girls haven't done the volcano of this just yet. But from what I can tell it all looks pretty well for what it is. They have done some of the other bits though and love all of it so far. Great for kids and adults too!

Good little kit

So far my son is loving this earth science kit! So far he has dug in the brick of gold and found 2 specimen. He has enjoyed being able to physically hold and feel the other specimens while reading and learning about each one. He's excited to do the volcano one once it stops raining here and are able to do it outside. Highly recommend!

Fun learning

My kids went absolutely crazy for this Earth Science kit! It is incredibly easy to do with 3 kids, keeps them occupied for a while, relatively easy clean up and really fun! My family of 5 enjoyed it so much!

These experiments was so cool to do. Each one came with its own very understanding instructions on how to do each. The booklet inside was has very good learning information which makes it even better. When performing the experiments it was a joy to do and they all turned out great. I love how the box have pictures of the experiments and what is included.

Earth Science Discovery: Nat Geo Activity Kit

Once again these are great for anytime, its summer right now for us and it has definately given the kids something to do together as well as fun and learning! Love that each activity comes labeled so nothing gets mixed up and that each child could be the star of their own activity! I highly recommend this for all kids!! Definately need adult supervision as well! Too much fun for the kids and me as well!

National geographic earth science

almost none of the experiements work the way they are supposed to. we just finished trying to do the valcano which ended in utter disappointment. the mold leaked from every possible location and the plaster filled the baking pan. i also have to say for the cost, i cant believe what you get. its basically a bumch of cheap plastic junk
