We moved into an apartment that doesn't allow propane or charcoal.  Was hesitant on buying an electric barbecue thinking it wouldn't work out.  But it is working out great!

Better Than Expected!

Heats up great ,wood chips smoke I sear steaks

I think the product is great - sick of the gas grills.  Takes a lot of time to heat up which is not a problem it is just different than the old way of BBQ'n ... The steaks off this grill are absolutely delicious.  I'm still learning to use the grill and I expect that grilling vegetable temp should be around 300 rather that 500 for steaks.   Great sturdy product.

Electric - a different from gas for sure

After owning two George Forman grills. I am happily grilling again. Construction is solid and the quality of the unit is immediately noticeable. The built-in thermometer is handy and the food cooks quickly and evenly. Cleanup is simple too. It is a smaller unit, but perfect for 1-4 people. I've only cooked on this twice. But I can highly recommended

“Out with you George!”

I had one for quite a few years until the burner went out and because of equipment changes I couldn't find a replacement. My kids decided to get me a new one and with in 2 years the burner started tripping the GFI. So no longer working. Since it is electric I don't know if a new element will really fix the problem. Always kept covered and cared for.

Not so good.

I'd hoped to use this on my deck, but the voltage drop from the outlet about 25 ft away (along an extension cord allowed in the manual) resulted in an inability to attain a temperature over 350 (too low to sear). So, if you need an extension cord, plan on slow cooking only. Also: took about 2 hours to put together, even though the instructions were very clear— many steps.

Fine unless you need an extension cord

I own 2 of the Patio Bistro, one electric and one propane. I love the propane model but the electric model is lacking in power/heating capability. It takes forever to get to temperature(500 degrees). Most times it will not reach 550. Food does not 'char broil' at the lower temps but tends to just bake your food. Needs either larger or more electric coils or place them closer to the cooking surface.

Lacking

I regret having bought that product. It doesn't heat up at all. It is not powerfull enough.
Barely good for hot dog only and even then..  As a matter of fact, Canadian Tire does not offer this product any more.

DON'T BUY THAT PRODUCT

I bought this a week ago after reviewing a few electric grills 
Was very happy when I bought as it seems VERY sturdy and well built 
UNTIL 
You try to use it, I had to preheat for an hour just to reach 450 NOT the 500 it should
THEN 
I put 3 split chicken breasts on the girl and the temp dropped 100 to 350 and never went back up 

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED

DONT BUY!!!!! Doesn't get to 500 or maintain temp
