This smoker/grill is exactly what I was looking for. It's the right size for one person, and the portability is perfect. I can run this off my Goal Zero Yeti 400 Lithium Ion battery and my Boulder 100 solar panels and get more from the sun than the Traeger draws at 250 degrees. Everything I have cooked has been delicious. Ribs, pork roast, salmon, and whole chickens have come out great. Additionally, the digital arc controller works great and the included meat thermometer has been accurate and dependable. I am very happy with this purchase and hope this smoker/grill lasts me for a long time!

The Perfect Camping Smoker I was Looking For

I use my Traeger 2 to 3 days a week and every weekend: rain, snow or shine... Even in Sub-Zero temps. I have had only 1 flame-out in those 5 years (1st time used it, didn't let it preheat long enough). I'd buy another if this one ever dies after rebuilding the replaceable parts that wear out a few times.

Love it! Easy to haul around and still cooks a lot of food to be a tailgating version. Most of all you get the same great Traeger taste on the road!

I don't use it on a "tailgate" - But the patio loves it.  The only thing I can't cook/smoke is beer can
 chicken/turkey because it isn't tall enough.  It is my go-to grill because there is 2 of us and this grill 
doesn't eat pellets very much.   "Keep it simple stupid" is the best way to describe this grill.

Am I having fun with this or what?

One of the best Traeger I have owned. The only thing needs improving is the dolts on the legs when you collapse them and if it closes down on them to fast it will break the plastic on the bolts. I did that, but other than that it is fantastic.

I have had a tailgater for 5 years from the kids on my 60th. We hardly ever use the oven any more and the grills were send to the dumpster. Mine has no temp probe but cooks everything perfect if I temp it. It has so many hours of use the paints bubbling on top and the grease tray is warped, but still works.

Going to upgrade once this one dies

I love my tailgater size grilled. I use it every weekend for meal prepping. Also smoked a pork butt for 10 hours on it and it was amazing! With the smaller sized hopper you do have to watch how many pellets you are using. It works perfect for my small apartment balcony. It easily feeds four. It's lightweight and portable, but still feels very durable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small grill.

Overall great product

Bought this grill in 2016 when a lot of people didnt even know what a pellet grill was. I use this grill 5 days a week to cook for four people at work. I have replaced the drip pan once because it was rusted through, replaced the grate because I lost it somehow and the controller because it got wet from rain when I didnt have it covered up and thats it.

My Smoker

I was so happy when I got this as my Navy anniversary gift.  Unfortunately after constant issues (catching fire, throwing error codes and shutting off randomly during a long smoke) over the last couple years I finally had enough and rolled it to the side of the street.  I'm sure someone else will be happy with it for a while before they do the same.  Using the right pellets, cleaning it properly, none of that mattered.  I never ever want to deal with such frustration again
