Great smoker, have it for 6 months and results are getting better each time. Treager recipes are good but you need to tweak them to your taste. Draining the pellets without losing some
To the ground is a challenge. Designing a bucket the hooks on to the grill directly under the shoot so you can direct the pellets from above.

Great Grill
Grill is really fantastic. Does everything they say it does. After dealing with a propane wood chip smoker that you couldn’t walk away from for 8 years this grill allows you to put out some great meals. Wifi app is great, loading cooking temps and times in advance and the grill will handle.I have the grill now for 4 months. Started just using it for large groups cooking brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Now I use it when cooking for 2.
Read the manual and learn how this grill works and practice. I use the included probe to let me know when I’m close to temperature then I verify with my handheld.

Best smoker ever!
I bought the Ironwood 885 2 years ago and it is the best investment I’ve ever made in outdoor grilling. I can do everything with this: smoke various food from from meat to eggs to cheese. I bake bread, pies, pizzas and I can even grill on it! I’ve owned just about every charcoal and propane grill on the market and none are as versatile as my Traeger. I love this smoker!

Never leaving again
Love how fast it heats up and that it can hold lower temps for hours. I live in Arizona and previous grills would hold onto the outside temperature, making it hard to do longer cooks during summer months. I will never stray from Traeger again!

Alright, listen up all you backyard BBQ enthusiasts. If you're still grilling on some wimpy little charcoal grill, it's time to upgrade to the Traeger Ironwood 885. This thing is a beast. It's like having your own personal pit master right in your backyard.👏
I have wanted a Traeger for a long time, and this beauty is what dreams are made of! It's packed with all sorts of fancy tech features, like Wi-Fi connectivity and easy pellet hopper cleanout. But the best part? The food. Oh my god, the food. 🤤 You know those mouthwatering smoked briskets you see on TV and wish you could make? Well, I've made them on this Ironwood 885! I cooked on my grill for the 3rd time yesterday, put chicken on as I left for church, followed the instructions for chicken quarters, used app on my phone to increase heat 1 hour after I left. It was done when we returned!! I will probably do this every Sunday! So happy with it. It was a big investment but worth it.

Smoked Ice! Drinks are even better!
We've been considering the Traeger Ironwood 885 for 2 years! We finally made the purchase and we are super excited! I've already smoked cherries and water for the smoked ice cubes plus made 4 meals just in the past 5 days. Creating the special add-ins for drinks and making meals that have the hardwood smoke infused into them are what dreams are made of! So grateful to have this in our line-up of hunting, cooking and get-togethers!

1st grill damaged, 2nd grill GREAT!
1st grill delivered was damaged. Customer service was great and had a replacement grill delivered in 3 days. The pickup crew for the 1st grill was a fiasco and took nearly 2 weeks to finally remove. Inconvenient have 2 large grills on a small patio, but not the end of the world. Been using grill almost nightly and its the best grill/smoker I've ever owned! The Traeger app is very buggy, has to be closed and reopened to get accurate temp read backs. Also, the temp spin dial setting is off center by 5 degrees. Still, overall, best I've ever owned!!

Very pleased with my purchase. This is quite the upgrade from my old Traeger. Much larger, many more features, and the WiFire option is very nice. Just wish I could start the grill from the app. Tray liner is a nice addition to keep it clean.

Simply the best
I’ve had a Traeger Junior for about 13 years and finally upgraded. Holy moly! There’s so much room for activities! I had friends over and easily fit 6 racks of ribs and was repeatedly told they were the best they’ve ever had. All I did was put some dry rub on them and let the Traeger do its work. It maintained temp throughout and the super smoke feature took it to the next level. Not much more you could ask for. It’s almost fool proof.

Received a grill as a gift. It was damaged heavily by the shipping company. Traeger stepped up to the plate with some awesome customer service and made it right even though they were not to blame. The grill is also an awesome addition to the house. We have made pulled pork and all sorts of other smoked ribs or grilled burger’s and chops
