Use only OEM Canon ink cartridges for your Canon printer. For some reason, refill inks and cartridges only clog up and fail a short time after installing. When ordering, if you're looking for the 245xl and 246xl inks, don't be fooled by a product headline saying, "Compatible to PG-245xl/CL-246xl". Not good value for the money
The cartridges contain very little ink. I use my printer only occasionally and never do any substantial printing jobs. I was surprised when the "low lights" for ink came on so soon (the color light about a week after the black and white) after my purchase (about 3 weeks) and with such modest printing activity. It is sadly true: The manufacturer is busily recovering his "losses" by charging high prices for the ink to compensate for the relatively low price of the device. The cartridges contain very little ink. I use my printer only occasionally and never do any substantial printing jobs. I was surprised when the "low lights" for ink came on so soon (the color light about a week after the black and white) after my purchase (about 3 weeks) and with such modest printing activity. It is sadly true: The manufacturer is busily recovering his "losses" by charging high prices for the ink to compensate for the relatively low price of the device.
