why does the mower refuse to power up even though it has oil and gas?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I was looking for.  A quality mower without the extra weight and maintenance of a self propelled mower.  This mower started on the second pull out of the box and feels solid while mowing.  I wish it had an oil drain plug like my old mower instead of having to tip the mower to drain the oil when changing.

Very similar to my previous Troy mower I like the addition of large rear wheels to make maneuvering easier.  I expect long life from this mower just like my former mower provided.

Reliable and reasonably priced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to primarily mulch a second home property's leaves after my Lawncare company stops mowing for the year. The mower works so well, I may decide to take on the lawn mowing as well this spring. It's a great mower. Starts easily and powers through the tough grass and leaves easily.

Great mower.

This is the 3rd Troybilt push mower I have purchased.  The 1st was on it's 3rd year when I hit a small stump and bent the shaft.  Rather than fix it I figured with it's age I may as well replace it.  The second I'm still using but is showing signs of wear as it has begun to vibrate an awful lot ... almost like it has a warped shaft but I know I haven't hit anything to cause it.  I haven't taken this new one out of the box yet.  I will begin usning it come spring.  I'm VERY happy with the Troybilt quality, ease of use and price with my mowers.  My ONLY thought on improving on the mowers is to attach them better to the mowing deck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower.  It's light so easy to push even on hills.  I've found that going perpendicular to any hills is a good practice instead of up and down.  The big back wheels help keep it out of any small indentations in the lawn.  The way the bag attaches is a big odd as you have to get it past the fly nuts what hold the upper part of the push handle, but not really an issue.  As with any new engine, be sure to change the oil after a few mows as new engines have lots of metal shavings that need to be flushed out. Great mower overall.  Great value as well.  Recommended.

Easy put together and start!!

Only issue was received it with metal lever for real wheel height sprung/bent out of position.  Took a few minutes/a little effort to bend back. Otherwise 5 stars!  Also webpage order wouldn't allow me to ship to a separate address (gift) from that of billing address.  Ordered in SC and had to deliver in person as gift to family in OH.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a TB 110. Hands down the best push mower I ever had in my life. I moved to a new location and decided that I would sell that mower and get an electric mower. That was a mistake. Thankfully I was able to give that to my retired parents, which admittedly is a much easier lawn mower to push at that age and muscle strength status. The electric Ryobi 40 volt is good for flat grassy lawns but no good for pine straw and oak leaves or magnolia leaves.

 I purchased this mower and at first glance it's pretty much like the TB110. However, I can see several shortcuts mainly involving plastic. 

And this "check the oil don't change the oil" is the silliest thing I think I've ever heard of. 

Of course I will maintain an inline fuel filter with shut off valve with good clean non-ethanol gas with the proper enzymes and additives. I expect this one to last as long as the other one would have. But like I said, there are some pieces that are more plastic than metal this time around. Even the side discharge attachment does not have the clips on it to attach to the handles. But other than that, I think I'm going to be very satisfied with this mower.

I bought this mower back in Dec of 23, to be prepared for mowing season of 24. I opened it up a few days ado, now 3/30/24. I assembled it, put oil in it, gas, the common stuff. I fired it up just to make sure it worked, but to my dismay it was leaking oil already within 2 minutes of being on. I turned it to discover what appears to be hairline fractures on the bottom of the motor, incredibly disappointed.

Horrible so far.
