Great Cheaper TV With Minor Drawbacks

Initial setup of the tv is simple. Login to any services and check for overall updates then move on. It is primarily used for retro gaming/console gaming and it does a fantastic job of this. Overall responsiveness and picture quality is great for the price. Usage of streaming apps leaves something to be desired. As this is a cheaper tv it doesn't have the greatest processor in it so things like loading Netflix or Plex take longer than they should. Sound quality is fine for what it is though would recommend a cheap sound bar but any tv can benefit from that

Has standard Roku format, same as the one we replaced so was easy for my husband who is technology challenged to adjust to his new tv after I programed it. It took about 20 minutes to program but most of that time was scanning for channels on antenna. Picture quality is great and volume gets really loud.

The smart tv features using ROKU makes is easy to find something to watch without paying for cable. Definitely recommend the TCL brand with ROKU smart features.

It obviously doesn’t have some features of an actual monitor, but for the size and price it’s perfect. I love that I can also switch to tv when I’m done with work

I have cable in other rooms of my home with a box but am able to watch without having to get an addt'l box in the room I placed this tv. I also can watch apple tv without need for the little box. I'm not very tech savvy and I love that I can access everything, my Netflix, Hulu, XBox, PS4, cable and Apple TV all from pressing 'Home' on the remote and not having to use a diff remote to switch HDMI inputs. Best purchase this year.

Also it came with Rocu, Netflix and several other items. It was also easy to install my wifi and everything worked the first time. We really enjoy this tv.

- A:Answer In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at start up and still access all of the inputs. - A:Answer NO. As of Dec 2019, if you do not currently have the Spectrum app installed, you will not be able to install the Spectrum app on a TCL TV, or Roku product. Contract issue. See Spectrum.net/roku for more info.

- A:Answer My NEW TCL 50" Roku cannot receive Local OTA signals. I have tried THREE digital amplified antennas, and STILL CANNOT receive all the local channels clearly. Is this a typical TCL problem? The company replaced the original TV because it's receiver failed altogether. The NEW TCL replacement is better, but still does not receive all channels! I'm VERY unhappy..

Q: QuestionWhat is the footprint size? My previous TV had a pedestal instead of feet so the placement was easier. I'm trying to find the distance between the stand legs and how wide an area is needed to place the TV on.
